The film deals with the relationship between a nomadic Gypsy community and the local people. The Gypsies are forced to stop and stay overnight when one of the women in their group goes into labor during their journey. However, no one allows them to stay because they are labeled as thieves. Ali, the owner of a farm, allows the Gypsies to stay. Ali is about to marry Gül, the owner of a neighboring farm, as per his father's will. Hüseyin, one of the town's leading figures, has his eye on Gül. Hüseyin plans to ruin Ali's business and wear him down in order to win Gül's heart.
