The short version: your movie activity is yours, public content is clearly labeled, and optional analytics stay off until you allow them.

When you create an account, our authentication provider processes your email address and sign-in information. We store the profile details you choose, your ratings, reviews, lists, follows, watch history, imports, taste answers, recommendations feedback, streaming preferences, and Movie Night participation.
Some taste and draft information can also stay in your browser so the experience works before you sign in.
What becomes public
Your username, display name, profile image, public lists, and reviews marked “Everyone” can appear publicly. Private reviews, streaming services, country preference, taste profile, ratings, watch history, email address, and invite-room taste snapshots are not public.
How we use information
We use your data to operate your account, personalize movie predictions, maintain lists and social features, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
Analytics and storage
Essential browser storage remembers privacy choices and local personalization. Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” You can change that choice at any time.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication, database, and file storage. Cloudflare/OpenAI Sites and related hosting infrastructure deliver the site. TMDB provides movie information. Google and Vercel receive usage information only when analytics is enabled.
Control and retention
Your account page lets you download your data, edit or delete reviews, manage blocked profiles, and permanently delete your account. Account deletion removes account-linked product data and uploaded avatars. Security records and backups may persist briefly where legally or operationally necessary.
Safety and age
ActuallyLike is not intended for children under 16. If you believe someone has shared personal information improperly, contact support so it can be reviewed.
