While playing at a lake, Nina is attacked by a gang of thugs and pushed under water - according to the doctor's diagnosis, the eleven-year-old is physically perfectly healthy, but has suffered severe trauma. After her parents Claire and Daniel have consulted several psychologists, dolphin therapy seems to be the only promising method of treatment. The whole family flies to a therapy center in Florida.
