Sonja Spitz, the proud owner of a delicatessen and restaurant, is on the threshold of a new phase in her life: Now that her three children have left the parental nest, she finally wants to enjoy time with her boyfriend, the younger Italian Michele. They have been a couple for some time, but Sonja has kept their relationship a secret from her children until now. Now she finally wants to admit her love and is looking forward to a new, free life.
