The young merchant Duncan is back from a long expedition that bought back the sacred stone called "Heart of the Mountains" from the infidels. Duncan has missed his loving wife, Heather, for many weeks. During a party held in honor of the expedition's happy return, the village is raided by Skaar's men, who steal the stone and kidnap the beautiful Heather.
