Mas Tok, son of a rich family, is studying in Holland when he meets Inge, a staff of Nitou travel agency. They marry but cannot have a child due to Mas Tok’s illness. When they return to Indonesia, his parents disapprove of his marriage as they intended him to marry another girl. Mas Tok then returns to Europe to treat his illness. Meanwhile, Inge is made to leave by her parents-in-law when she is found pregnant and thought to be unfaithful. Mas Tok comes home to find his wife gone and blames his parents because the baby is his son.
