The fairy tale of the little mermaid begins on a beautiful day when, during a sudden, violent storm, the prince's ship is wrecked with all hands lost. She thinks this is the perfect opportunity to find a husband for her stupid and ugly daughter. The sea witch devises a wicked plan to keep the little mermaid and the handsome prince apart.
